artist's' name : Clayton Bastiani
artist's statement : Bastiani studied art at colleges in Portsmouth and Bath. He is now working as a fine art photographer and is based in Hampshire, UK.
Bastiani’s photography is often conceptual or staged in approach and encompasses figurative and nature themes, he also enjoys working with computer software to create images and scenes that have been plucked from his sub-conscious mind. He has a strong admiration for earlier masters and tries to bring forward older techniques and apply them to this technological era. He has been particularly influenced by the rayograph series of work by Man Ray.
